B.Tech: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following:
Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application / Technical Vocational Subject. - Candidates must secure individual pass marks (both in theory and practical/project, wherever applicable) in all three subjects.
- Minimum Marks Required:
- General Category: At least 45% aggregate marks in the above three subjects.
- Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD): At least 40% aggregate marks in the above three subjects.
- Must have passed English in 10+2 with at least 30% marks.
- The qualifying examination board must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
B.Tech: Admission Procedure
Entrance Exams:
Admission is based on the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) or JEE Main (National Level Exam) scores.
Counseling Process:
- Candidates must apply separately for the entrance exams.
- After clearing the exam, candidates must participate in counseling conducted by WBJEEB or JOSAA (for JEE Main candidates).
- Seats are allotted based on rank, choice of institution, category, and availability of seats.
- Once allotted, candidates must report to the college within the given timeline for final admission.

- Class 10 Admit Card, Mark Sheet & Passing Certificate
- Class 12 Mark Sheet & Passing Certificate
- Entrance Exam Admit Card & Rank Card (WBJEE/JEE Main)
- Allotment Letter
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar Card/PAN Card (Guardian’s)
- Annual Income Certificate (For Tuition Fee Waiver – TFW candidates)
M.Tech: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Eligibility:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech.) in the relevant discipline.
- Must have obtained at least 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA in graduation.
Selection Process:
- Admission is based on GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) scores.
- Candidates must appear for CCMT counseling or counseling conducted by the university.
- GATE-qualified candidates receive additional weightage during selection.
- Candidates appearing for the final year qualifying exam may apply but must produce proof of passing at the time of admission.
MCA: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Eligibility:
- Must have a BCA or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering.
OR - Must have a B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level (additional bridge courses may be required).
- Minimum Marks:
- General Category: At least 50% marks in graduation.
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD): At least 45% marks in graduation.
Selection Process:
- Admission is based on WB JECA (West Bengal Joint Entrance for MCA) scores.
- Candidates must participate in counseling for final seat allotment.
BCA: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) in the General or Vocational Stream from WBCHSE or any recognized board.
Selection Process:
- Admission is based on merit through the CET (Common Entrance Test).
- Candidates must attend counseling on the specified dates.
BBA: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board.
- Must qualify for the CET (Common Entrance Test).
Selection Process:
- Admission is based on CET merit ranking followed by counseling.
MBA: Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in any field (full-time).
- Must have a valid score in JEMAT (Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test).
Selection Process:
- Admission is based on JEMAT scores followed by counseling conducted by MAKAUT.
