The Department of Civil Engineering at Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology (MSIT) is one of the most reputed Civil Engineering departments in West Bengal and holds the distinction of being the oldest Civil Engineering department among private engineering colleges affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).
