Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology (MSIT), one of the pioneering Degree Engineering Colleges of Kolkata, is approved by AICTE and affiliated to MAKAUT. It began its journey on September 5, 2001, the very date when Teachers’ day is celebrated in India. Over the last 20 years, the College has created an enviable track record of imparting excellent education to the aspiring engineers and managers. Under the aegis of Techno India Group, MSIT endeavors to achieve academic excellence through better teaching and a research oriented approach for the young intellectuals to prepare for their leadership roles in a competitive world. The institute provides state-of-the-art infrastructure for facilitating optimum resource allocation to each student in technical education. It is conveniently located, having easy access to bus route, railway station and airport. Top ranked students are admitted here through JEE and JEE (Main) for its engineering programmes; JECA for its MCA programme and GATE/PGET for its M. Tech programmes. Eminently qualified, research minded, dynamic and committed faculty members (many with PhDs) teach students with utmost dedication. The sprawling Central Library of the college has over 53,000 books, digital library, spacious reading room and Institutional membership with IEEE for online Journals. Laboratory facilities at MSIT are second to none with more than 700 computers and other highly advanced technical equipments and laboratory set-ups. DST/MNRE (GOI sponsored) research lab, State of the art English language lab, multiple AC seminar rooms and multi faceted student amenities are some of the infrastructural USPs of the college.
Excellent academic performance of students in University examinations, high strike rates for placement in top IT/Core sector companies as well as excellent rate of success for higher studies through GATE, CAT, GRE & GMAT always attract quality students to this college. Our students have received accolades and awards at various National level Project Competitions and have also presented research papers at National / International conferences religiously. For the over-all growth of the students MSIT provides and encourages Co-curricular & Extracurricular activities through Seminars, Invited Tech Talks/Workshops, Tech Fests, and Cultural Fests etc. The College has a rich alumni network.

Knowledge is so plentiful that one lifetime is not enough to know everything, and thus, I advise my students to learn beyond their syllabus. I believe every student has immense potential to excel. I welcome all the students, their parents and stakeholders of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, on behalf of the management, faculty and staff members of this college, bearing the legacy of the great academic conglomerate, Techno India Group.
The institute evolved since 2001 with the blessings of visionary academic entrepreneurs Mr. Satyam Roychowdhury and Late Mou Roychowdhury. Now students get opportunity to build their career in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Language, Cyber Security, Internet of Things, Computer Applications, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering as well as Business Administration at the under-graduate and post-graduate levels.
The institute is proud of its glittering placement record in all branches of engineering and management, taught here. Apart from market-driven computer linked subjects with pan-global demand, we can assure 100% placement in core branches of Electrical, Civil and Mechanical, much ahead of any perceived competitor.

Our academic excellence has been assessed by National Bureau of Accreditation leading to NBA certification of major branches in this college.
Only curriculum-centric teaching could not make us earn confidence of employers. We design and implement domain knowledge training modules to bridge the gap between curriculum and demand of the industry. Our students are made industry-ready by such training, delivered to them free of cost during vacations. Further, vernacular students are supported to improve their communication skill, body language and interview preparedness through special training by experts.
