Eco-Cultural Club at MSIT College

The Eco-Cultural Club at MSIT College is a dynamic platform that fosters environmental awareness and cultural engagement among students. The club organizes educational workshops, cultural festivals, and ecological programs, ensuring students develop a holistic and socially responsible mindset.


Scope of Work

The Eco-Cultural Club actively conducts:

  • Educational Workshops & Seminars – Sessions on environmental safety, sustainability, and cultural awareness.
  • Competitions & Collaborations – Hosting quizzes, debates, and academic competitions in partnership with various institutions.
  • Cultural & Ecological Events – Organizing celebrations for Republic Day, Saraswati Puja, Foundation Day, Teachers’ Day, Tree Plantation Drives, and Women’s Safety Workshops.
  • Annual Cultural Fest – A grand cultural festival featuring student performances, guest artists, and inter-college competitions.

Objectives

The Eco-Cultural Club aims to:

  • Encourage holistic development by enhancing students’ cultural and environmental awareness.
  • Strengthen intra- and inter-college camaraderie through year-round events.
  • Develop leadership, creativity, and teamwork by actively engaging students in organizing activities.

The Ecological Division ensures that MSIT College remains a green and sustainable campus, organizing plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and eco-friendly initiatives.


Preamble for the Club

Leadership & Decision-Making

  • The Governing Body and Founders oversee the club’s decisions.
  • Any changes, modifications, or suggestions require approval from the discretionary authorities.
  • The Advisory Committee consists of final-year (4th-year) students.
  • The Eco-Cultural Core Committee includes faculty members, the governing body, and the Executive Student Committee.

Organizational Structure & Responsibilities

  • The President, Core Team, and Governing Body have the power to appoint or replace departmental heads in unforeseen circumstances.
  • The Ecological Division manages environment-related initiatives, ensuring the campus remains clean and green.
  • The Public Relations (PR) Head & Cultural Coordinators oversee meetings and forums.
  • College Representatives coordinate student participation in external inter-college fests & events.
  • Departmental Heads are responsible for coordinating participants, planning events, and managing teams.
  • The entire club supports ecological events, working together to set benchmarks for impactful initiatives.

Code of Conduct & Guidelines

  • Strict Action Against Misconduct – Any misbehavior during events, forums, or participations will lead to disciplinary action by the Core Committee.
  • Mandatory Attendance – Departmental heads and representatives must attend meetings and events or inform the College Representative in advance if unavailable.
  • Cultural Event Management – The Secretary & Assistant Secretary oversee College Fest, Freshers’ Welcome, and other cultural events, assigning volunteers as needed.
  • Financial Oversight – Any funding requests must be sanctioned by the Core Teachers’ Committee.
  • No Unauthorized Promotions – No individual may promote events or claim credit for them on social media without official approval.
