Computer Science & Engineering

The department of Computer Science and Engineering offers an undergraduate engineering degree program since the establishment of the university named ‘West Bengal University of Technology’ in the year 2001 (now renamed Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology).

Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering, MSIT is one of the most reputed civil engineering departments of West Bengal and the oldest Civil Engineering department among the private Engineering Colleges under the affiliation of West Bengal University of Technology(WBUT) , known as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology.

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineers create the processes and systems that drive technology and industry. It is closely associated with automobile, aeronautical and aerospace engineering. Mechanical Engineering Department of Meghnad Saha Institute Of Technology is one of the most sought after streams of the institute.

Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering established in the year 2002 offers four years Under Graduate program. The faculty practice innovative methods in the Teaching-Learning-Process that leads to effective Outcomes-Based-Education. The asset of the department is dedicated faculties, technical assistants and students.

Electronics & Communication Engineering

Welcome to Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering at MSIT. The main thrust of the department is technological research and education. The faculty members teach a wide variety of core and elective courses for UG students from the engineering departments.

Information Technology

The department of Information Technology existed from the very beginning, while Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology set out its journey for imparting quality engineering education. Since then, the department has evolved with different sort of changes to cope up with the changing requirements from IT industry.

Computer Science & Business System (CSBS)

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Induced Computer Science & Business Systems Programme. CSBS is a brand new and a revolutionary branch in engineering. The course is designed so that skilled engineers and not bookworms are produced, which make you stand out from the crowd of CSE students.

The B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI & DS) at MSIT, Kolkata is a future-ready program designed to equip students with cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and big data analytics skills.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

BCA is nearly equivalent to BTech/BE in Computer Science or Information technology as per course curriculum and job prospect. Not only that, it takes three years rather than 4 years BE/BTech courses.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)

The Department is offering the Post Graduate Program – BCA from the year of 2008. This is a full time course approved by AICTE and affiliated to MAKAUT (formerly WBUT).This program aim to focus on the core fundamentals of computer science and related applications. M.Tech Computer Science Engineering

The department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (AEIE) was established in the academic year 2005-2006 with an intake of 60 students and it offers a four-year B Tech degree program under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT, formerly WBUT), West Bengal.

M.Tech Electronics & Communications Engineering

IEEE MSIT Student Branch and IEEE EDS MSIT Student Branch Chapter began its journey in July 2015. It was established by two faculty members of ECE Department, with assistance from 12 students of the Department. ECE Department currently boasts of 2 Student Branch Chapters.
