Students of ECE Department are representing MSIT at 27th West Bengal State Science & Technology Congress, 2020 at Science City. Two project prototypes from ECE department,MSIT are selected for presentation in this prestigious event of Government of West Bengal.

Congratulations of Sagnik Dutta Gupta and Arindam Ghorai of EE Department, MSIT for their AGROTECH which was show cased in the event Explora 2020 , funded by TEQIP and organized by MAKAUT on National Science Day. The idea took shape under the mentorship of Mr. Kaustuv Dasgupta and Mr. Gautam Banerjee

IEEE COMSOC MSIT SBC, in association with IEEE EDS MSIT SBC and the Department of ECE, MSIT organized IDEATE 2020 on February 14, 2020 at the Seminar hall of the college. The program was attended by over 80 participants. All participating students benefited immensely from the interactive program.

A program on 'Awareness / Mentoring on IPR & IP Management for Innovation and Start-ups ' was organised on 4 th Feb, 2020 at MSIT seminar hall by Institution Innovation Council-MSIT. Chief Guest & Speaker was Dr. Mahuya Hom Choudhury, Patent and Trademark Attorney Scientist C (Senior Scientist) & Nodal Officer Patent Information Centre,West Bengal State Council of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of West Bengal.

IEEE MSIT Student Branch and IEEE EDS MSIT Student Branch Chapter began its journey in July 2015. It was established by two faculty members of ECE Department, with assistance from 12 students of the Department. ECE Department currently boasts of 2 Student Branch Chapters, IEEE EDS MSIT SBC and IEEE COMSOC MSIT SBC. The Branch has gone a long way since then and currently boasts of 4 Student Branch Chapters.IEEE MSIT Student Branch and ECE Department have organized IEEE International Conference, EDS Minicolloquium, EDS DL Talks, Seminars, workshops, Technical Talks, Industry Academia meets for the benefit of students.
