About

    Technology, the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, as defined by the Oxford Dictionary, is a big part of our society and our foreseeable future. Each innovative thought today is merely a design of what the future will look like. These designs mean nothing without a plan and a platform which provides for hands on experience about any particular idea. This is where Megatronix steps in. Megatronix, the official technical club of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, aims to be a platform to cultivate ideas and to build them up in a way that they are not confined within a certain limit. It is a group of like-minded people who believe at breeding technical skills and passing it over to others as soon as we acquire them. Megatronix was founded in 2009 by a group of five students as a Robotics Club in the college. The founder members, at that time, organized workshops on Manual Robotics followed by an intra-college fest which later came to be known as TECH-X-TRA. That group of five is now a team of fifty! Megatronix is known to organize one of the best technical fests of Kolkata, PARIDHI the First Version of which was held on 17th and 18th March 2012. With an all total of 41 events, the Sixth Edition of the Three-Day Annual Inter-College Technical Festival, Paridhi 2017 set a whole new level in terms of success and popularity amongst students throughout the city and beyond. Aiming at making the students industry-ready, Megatronix plans to organize even better and mightier events in the upcoming year!
