Sports Club of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology
About
MSIT Sports club is an old club. Since the inception of the college, students took the initiative to conduct different tournaments on football and cricket. When the activities got popular among the students, it became an integral part of the college activity. Sport club conduct three major events in this college:
Meghnad Saha Cricket League(MCL): Its is an intra college cricket tournament. Students & Staff register as a player and they are selected in a team through auction. They follow the latest IPL rule for this team building. This is very popular events among the students. This is two days event.
Meghnad Saha Soccer League(MSL): Its is an intra college football tournament. Students & Staff register as a player and they are selected in a team through auction. They follow the latest ISL rule for this team building. This is very popular events among the students and staffs. Alumni of the college also join in this tournament as different team. This is two days event.
Inter college Table Tennis tournament : Since table tennis is not very popular among the students, we organise inter college table tennis tournament. More than 50 players from different college participate in this competition. There are singles, doubles for both men and women and mixed doubles tournament take place. This is three days event. Apart from these, club organise carrom tournament, Badminton tournament, chess tournament too
